Stripper formed in January 2002 when Eliza and Amanda, formerly of Newcastle band Armistice and Steph, fomerly from punk band Power Keg joined forces. The new punk influence brought to the band by Steph combined with the softer rock of Armistice created a more traditional heavy rock sound.
