URL: http://www.eao.com.au/biography/surething.php Sure Thing comprises Pete Gilchrist, a guitarist/vocalist with over 15 years of experience in the music industry, join forces with diva Philippa Ditton-Phare. Pete originates from Central NSW, where he fronted a number of rock bands as rhythm guitarist/vocalist. Since his arrival to Newcastle in 1997, Pete has performed as a guitarist/vocalist in duos such as "Eclipse", "Twice Delight" and "Kadence" and has also featured as bassist in dance bands "Succotash" and "Hey Baby". His duo partner, vocalist Philippa, completed 8th Grade (Trinity College) in London, aged only 15, where she also appeared in theatre shows and performed as a studio session singer. She was chosen to appear as the soloist at the Breast Cancer Awareness breakfast held at Civic Theatre in 2003, soloist at the lighting of Newcastle's Christmas Tree by Marcia Hines in 2003, and soloist at the 2004 Australia Day Ceremony in Sydney. |
