Nine Ways Down

Nine Ways Down formed in July 1999. Their punk music and style has come a long way in almost one year. After a period of about two months of separation, they adopted a new style along with a new guitarist. Nine Ways Down mix up their music with variations of quick riffs, thrash punk, transitions of fast and slow music along with some boppy ska songs to dance to.

Nine Ways Down members have come together from a variety of backgrounds, converging in Newcastle to attend University. They have members from the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, their punk surf / skate influence originating from living on the coast.

Only now beginning to play around town, they hope to become well known, play music, travel and get people dancing. You can catch them in the Newcastle University band comp in May 2000 or practicing at IGLOO rehearsal and recording studios in Newcastle.
