Screaming Jets Release New EP Via Kazaa P2P Software

With the popularity of filesharing programs growing, The Screaming Jets are among several Australian artists that have released their latest EPs and albums via a popular peer to peer filesharing program.

Heart of the Matter, the first EP by The Jets since 2001, will be released through Kazaa, a well known and frequently used program with millions of users worldwide.

Coinciding with the current Australian East Coast Tour, the band decided to use file sharing to promote the new EP, which is the debut release on the band’s own self-financed record label.

Licenses for the newly released tracks cost US .50 cents each, while the entire EP will cost users US$2.50.

Fans of The Screaming Jets will also be able to download the “Heart of the Matter” music video for free through Kazaa, and through their website

Catch the Screaming Jets at Newcastle Panthers on October 8th, 2004, supported by Maeder and winners of the Expose Yourself band competition, Amy Vee & The Virtues.

In addition to the Screaming Jets, Central Coast based punk rock label Below Par Records is also promoting and licensing its catalogue through Kazaa. Below Par represents several bands including In the Grey, Kisschasy, Last Year’s Hero, Something with Numbers and For Amusement Only.The Screaming Jets and the Pelow Par Records Catalogue can be found in the audio section of the Kazaa application.
