Atomica

Congratulations to ATOMICA for getting “Best CD Release” in the U-TURN Reader’s Poll! Thier debut Single 39 FLAVOURS is available locally at Sound World, The Rock Shop, Beaumont St Beat, Ramjet, Lillies and Naughty & Nice. The radio remix of 39 Flavours is also available for download from the Prick Up Your Ears Website.

Atomica have been pretty busy lately, with pre-production for the ’39 Flavours’ video clip, being filmed by ‘Wild Eddy’ & ‘Wild Heart Films’ (Priscilla, Chopper, Thunderstruck) aswell as recording their first full length Album at 48 VOLT Studios. Atomica are now also represented in the UK by Music Void Entertainment Ltd, meaning an overseas trip is looking immenent.

Catch Atomica at the 1233 ABC Newcastle Music Awards at the Civic Theatre on October the 28th. Atomica will also be performing at the Band Room, Newcastle Leagues Club, on the following night (October 29th) with 1/2 SHOT and Dirty Pink Jeans.

Arrive Alive Festival 2004

The Motor Accidents Authority is putting on a free community music festival in early November under their Arrive Alive banner with the aim is to promote road safety. The concert will be held on the Newcastle Foreshore on November the 6th from 11.30am to 5.30pm and will feature Regurgitator, 1200 Techniques, Butterfingers, Koolism, The Hot Lies, Maya Jupiter, 1/2 SHOT, Gazebo, PX and Ionic.

This free event is all-ages and alcohol free event is about supporting local music and promoting a message of road safety to 17 to 25 year olds who, sadly, are over-represented in road accidents and fatalities.Â
