Light Noise Win Xpozay 2006

Since July this year, The Brewery has been hosting the Xpozay band competition every Thursday night and last night saw the three Grand Finalists (Ngariki, Montana Fire, & Light Noise) go head to head for the prize.

Light NoiseLight Noise have won the 2006 Xpozay band competition. The band competed against Montana Fire and Ngariki for over $20,000 in prizes including a major recording package in Sydney, a promotional package, musical equipment, Cash and a NYE showcase performance at The Brewery supporting Silverchair, The Beautiful Girls and Something With Numbers.

Light Noise will also be competing in the grand final of the Newcastle Music Week Industry Showcase band competition. They will compete against The seabellies, The wireflys and Ngariki at the Civic Theatre Newcastle on Thursday November 2nd.

The band comprises Luke Price on Guitar and vocals, Jae Nelson on drums and Joel Henderson on bass. Two members of Light Noise are currently performing in a locally produced Rock Opera, The Shining Isle, showing at The Civic Playhouse. The guys did the show and then raced to the Brewery to play their allocated time in the Grand Final.

Watch out for Light Noise at the Brewery on New Years Eve where they will be supporting Silverchair, The Beautiful Girls and Something With Numbers.
