Kanuguba Justus Festival

11am-6pm 29th October Wickham Croatian Bowling Club

The Kanuguba Justus Festival will be held on Sunday, 29th October, 2006 at Wickham Croatian Bowling Club on Albert st Wickham. This will be the second Justus Festival celebrating Multi-Cultural Diversity, harmony, unity and community.

Come and celebrate this unique public parkland and enjoy live Music, Cultural Dances of the world, traditional Kai Kai (Torres Strait Food), Indigenous speaker from Chile, Fig Tree Community Garden working bee, Markets, speakers, Free face painting, Bowls and Boche.

The event goes all day and is free for everyone.

Four international cultural dance groups will be performing on the day including Indonesian, Waumer Torres Strait Islands Dance Group, South American Capoeira & belly dancing. Live performers include: Purple Chocolate Funk, Mojo Juju, Enter Esc, Ceremony Of Sound, Arthur Ridgeway, Leroy & Teesh, Darlene & Rodney and special guests. There will also be speakers on indigenous, environmental and cultural issues, stalls, markets, free face painting, bowls and boche. Food will be provided by donation and festival will include traditional Kai Kai Torres Strait cuisine.
