One Proud Monkey Digital Distribution

Saturday, April 14th, 2007

OPM Digital iTunesNewcastle based musician Clinton Hoy has recently returned from several years of overseas travel to begin studying at the University of Newcastle. He is also in the early stages of putting together a new Newcastle based eLabel called One Proud Monkey Digital Distribution.

OPM DigitalClinton plans to make the iTunes marketplace more accessible by bringing together local musicians. “iTunes and the other online stores won’t take independent artists seriously if they approach one at a time”, Clinton says, “I have come up with a plan to form a loose collective which will benefit all involved”. Clinton is preparing to put forward a proposal that will allow One Proud Monkey to digitally distribute music through iTunes. He requires twenty products (singles, EPs or albums) for the next step. If you are interested in being a part of the OPM Digital proposal contact Clinton through his myspace page at www.myspace.com/opmdigital.

Prior to his overseas travels, Clinton was active in the local music scene. In 2004 he released many of his songs on mp3.com.au. Listen to these tracks at www.mp3.com.au/clintonhoy. Clinton currently performs in Hey Crabman, a duo featuring vocalist Aaron Hunt. Aaron and Clinton met in London in early 2006 and were soon performing original music at a series of venues across London culminating in a gig at Progress Bar, Tufnell Park, London on the 26th of April 2006.
