The finalists for the 2007 1233 ABC Newcastle Music Awards have been announced. Some categories have more finalists than others - this is due to the fact that each category attracts a different amount of entries and in some cases the judges of particular categories thought more than ten tracks deserved to go through for finalist consideration.

The Awards Night (Friday October 19 2007 - Civic Theatre Newcastle) will include only the top 5 entrants for each category being announced along with the winner.

Specialist categories which will also be Awarded on the night include Best Young Talent, Best Male Vocals, Best Female Vocals, Listeners’ Choice, Hunter Broadcasters’ Choice, Central Coast Broadcasters’ Choice, ABC Music Publishing / APRA Songwriter and Composer Recognition Award and ABC Music Best Artist.
