Grunge Is Not Dead

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

After spending a year rocking out together, Novocastrian 3 piece grunge/hard rock act Zero Logic are currently recording some of the driving rock tunes to be featured on their debut E.P. set for release in the 2nd half of 2008.

Zero Logic live at the CambridgeFollowing up Zero Logic’s well received introduction “Cubette” released in September 2007, their debut E.P (yet to be titled) illustrates maturity and development within the group. The trio hit hard on this new release blasting out the new tunes with their raw grunge sound and trade mark intensity. With at least 20 original songs already written, choosing the 6 tracks (4 in-studio + 2 live) to be on the E.P. has been a hard decision for the band. The release so far consists of two crowd favourites; the grinding “Your Slave” & bone crunching “Mood Swing”, as well as a well received new tune “Psycho”followed by the powerful but captivating “Come to Terms“. A live show is yet to be recorded to complete the E.P. so look out & get involved… it’s going to be one hell of a show!

The band consists of 3 members: Pat Sandner (vocals/guitar), Mitch Paterson (drums) & Chris Newman (bass) and cites various influences such as Incubus, Nirvana, Seether, Tool, & fellow Novocastrian rockers Silverchair.
