Many Central Coast residents will know Paul from his work in the area with his iconic band The Shuffle Kings and his extensive list of musical associations with a veritable “who’s who” of the Australian Music Industry.

Part of this initiative includes the giveaway of tickets to local schools & community projects that embrace the same ideals. Twenty percent of all ticket sales for this event will be donated to the The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) that urgently needs funds to help those people in crisis globally. Australia for UNHCR is an Australian based charity that raises money for those, especially women & children, displaced by war poverty & conflict.

“As a nation, our respect for rights and freedoms, for the worth and dignity of every human being, is essential to our self-understanding, our identity and our way of life.” – UNHCR Patron – Ms Quentin Bryce.

On Anzac Day Sunday 25th April, Paul and his “Band of Gypsys” will again be performing at Kantara House with an amazing line up of talent including, guitar virtuoso Andrew Toner, local harmonica maestro Christian Marsh, Taiwanese flautist Wu Pu-Yu and featuring special guest violinist Daniel Weltlinger. All Ages Jam at The Wicko

All Ages Jam Night

A Different Kind of Jam!!

Come Out and Play isn’t just a great Offspring song, it’s also the name of a great new gig that will take place at the Wickham Park Hotel.

Affectionately known as ‘The Wicko’, Rosie’s School of Rock will be hosting a regular jam night at the Hotel which will be held on the first Wednesday of the month starting at 8pm. This is a jam night with a difference as it is open to all ages.

“Getting up in front of a crowd is a really important part of being a musician for any age,” says Rosie’s School of Rock principal Craig ‘Rosie’ Rosevear. “I wanted to create a way where we could help aspiring musos get up in front of a real pub rock crowd but have support from industry professionals as well. The Jam night will have professional music teachers on hand to help fellow musos who might want some help. We’ve got experienced guitar teachers, drum teachers, vocal teachers who can help you with chords or just how to tune up your guitar, if you don’t need any help then that’s cool too…just get up there and blast away” says Rosie.

Come out and Play is Free, Open to All Ages, for individuals and bands. Equipment is supplied or bring your own. The first Gig was a BIG success and a full crowd is assured. The next gig kicks off 8pm Wednesday 5th May. For enquiries call The Wicko on 4965 3201 or Rosie’s School of Rock on 4927 5027
