Cotton Sidewalk, Home for Christmas

During high school, Adam began to dream of rock domination. He wrote and played and sang and wrote and then formed Cotton Sidewalk. Although it was early days, the music did get peoples’ attention.

cotton SidewalkAs Cotton matured, it secured many great support slots including Betchadupa, Augie March, Evermore, The Superjesus, Bob Evans, Machine Gun Fellatio, End Of Fashion, Bluebottle Kiss, The Pictures, Old Man River, Dave McCormack and more.

2008 saw Cotton Sidewalk pack up and move their Proganthemelodorock from Newcastle to Melbourne. This move brought about many changes and rights of passage, the most important of these being the release of their album “Evil Versus People” and the securing of Cotton’s current and ultimate line-up. You see, at heart, Cotton Sidewalk has always been about going to any length to bring an awesome rock experience to the crowd at their shows. In fact, the job is deemed incomplete should anyone leave with their face un-melted.

In the making of “Evil Versus People” the mission of translating this energetic live show onto LP was undertaken. The result was an album of epic proportions that effectively opened the Cotton Sidewalk heart to the world. The album was released through a series of sell-out shows in Melbourne (The Evelyn), Sydney (Oxford Art Factory) and Newcastle (The Cambridge) in 2010. The album’s release was also marked by two singles “Fight Your Way” and “Feet Teeth and Hands”, which gained good support from Triple J’s Richard Kingsmill and other good community radio stations.

Cotton Sidewalk will be supported by special guest AnnaLiesA.
