The Web of Life Tour

Bringing music to young people in regional areas

July 2000

Real and virtual ...

The Web of Life tour will be weaving its way around regional N.S.W during July 2000. Strength To Strength, a young progressive and innovative band from Newcastle, was succesful in receiving funding from a new Federal Government Contemporary Music Touring Program under the Playing Australia banner.

Strength To Strength continue to heighten their popularity around Newcastle by playing with higher profile bands like: Silverchair, Lavish, Leonardo's Bride, Muzzy Pep. The Web of Life tour gives the boys an opportunity to broaden their audiences throughout N.S.W.

The intention of the tour is to encourage on stage, on line and hands on participation for young people, musicians or otherwise and get some great shows happening for young people in regional areas. Young people can get involved by:

  • checking out this website to find out about the tour and the band
  • e-mailing the guys to see how the tour is going and review a show in your area
  • taking part in the workshops and/or
  • coming to the gigs.

The all age shows will be staged at the local Police & Community Youth Clubs (PCYC's) in each town. The tour includes 9 regional towns and a final show for their home crowd in Newcastle.

Strength To Strength are currently searching for local youth bands in each town that would like the opportunity to play the support slot at their shows.

Interested bands can send their demos and biographies to:
